OBJECTIVE:
To provide critical communications to ensure employee safety and job effectiveness between BRMEMC's dispatch office and all field operations personnel.
II.
MANAGEMENT EXPECTATIONS:
Individuals must demonstrate a positive attitude and a commitment to contribute to Cooperative's goal of providing exceptional service to members and associates, exhibiting professionalism at all times.
Management reserves the right to change, modify, or alter any job description deemed necessary to continue the operation of business.
III.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Provide constant, rapid, and accurate communication between Cooperative personnel internally and externally also including member-consumers.
Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service that will promote goodwill between the Cooperative, the member-consumers, and all inter-office departments.
Develop departmental relationships to ensure a productive work environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work in an office environment.
With or without reasonable accommodations, must be able to sit, walk, stand, and use hands and fingers to operate computers and other office equipment.
Must be able to lift objects up to 15 pounds.
Must be able to hear and talk at conversation levels.
Must have clarity of vision.
VI.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
A.
Maintain constant monitoring of all radio communications in the field.
B.
Keep updated locations of all construction and right-of-way crews.
C.
Keep updated on locations of all outages and vehicles involved.
D.
Learn to monitor and operate basic SCADA functions in a safe manner.
E.
Receive, look up, complete, and create all Underground Locate requests.
F.
Attend continuing education classes as recommended by System Control Supervisor.
G.
Maintain a good working relationship with all departments within BRMEMC.
H.
Work with Cut-Off and billing personnel on a daily basis.
I.
Monitor security and gate systems.
J.
Learn to make, complete, and release work orders.
K.
Any other duties as requiredor directed.
This is a 24/7 position.
During training, employee, will be expected to work Monday-Friday 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Other days or hours if needed on an overtime basis.
Training duration will be at the discretion of the System Operations Supervisor.
VII.
MARGINAL DUTIES:
All duties listed above are required for this position and none are considered marginal.
VIII.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Continuing education and basic computer dispatching skills is desired but not required.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
IX.
KNOWLEDGE:
Must be willing to gain a working knowledge of BRMEMC Electrical System.
Must be able to follow guidelines for proper radio communications, including May-Day procedures.
Must be willing & able to follow instructions and communicate with all departments of BRMEMC.
Basic computer skills.
Advanced skills desired.
- Will be required to work with CMB, maps, OMS (Outage Management System), SCADA Operations, Cut-off Live, and Work Order Management (Works), Command Center.
X.
ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
A.
Must be able to maintain communications with all departments of BRMEMC.
B.
Must maintain radio communications in a safe and skillful manner.
C.
Must become familiar with the electrical layout of BRMEMC's entire system and transmission scheme.
D.
Must be willing to learn the operation of BRMEMC's computer system.
